Sensory Considerations

  • Quiet setup - Our equipment operates quietly, and we minimize sudden sounds
  • Visual preparation - We show students the camera and explain what will happen before we begin
  • Comfortable pacing - We never rush; students can take the time they need

Communication Approaches

  • Visual cues - We use picture boards and visual schedules when helpful
  • Simple instructions - Clear, one-step directions work best
  • Staff collaboration - We work closely with teachers and aides who know each student
  • Familiar faces - Having a trusted adult nearby helps many students

Working with Families and Schools

Communication with families makes a big difference. Parents know their children best and can share helpful information:
