School Photographer — Austin, TX & Central Texas
We're hiring school photographers to cover picture days, sports, yearbooks, graduation, and events across Austin and Central Texas. Part-time contractor. No editing required. All experience levels welcome.
What You'll Do
Picture Day Portraits
Photograph individual and sibling portraits for students from pre-K through high school. You'll run the portrait station — directing students, managing pace, and keeping energy high through hundreds of kids in a single morning.
Sports & Team Photos
Individual athlete portraits, team lineups, and action shots during games. Weekend and weekday evening availability helps during sports season. Comfort with outdoor and gymnasium lighting a plus.
Class Composites & Group Photos
Class photos, grade-level composites, and staff portraits. Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to direct large groups efficiently while keeping things moving.
Yearbook, Graduation & Events
Candid event coverage, graduation ceremonies, cap-and-gown portraits, and school galas. Documentary-style shooting for yearbook content and milestone moments families remember forever.
What We're Looking For
- Own camera body and lenses capable of shooting in varied indoor lighting
- Patience, energy, and a genuine love for working with kids at all ages
- Ability to maintain pace and enthusiasm through a full picture day
- Comfort directing students and coordinating with school staff
- Reliable transportation to schools across Austin and Central Texas
- All experience levels considered — attitude and desire matter most
We cover Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander, Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, and surrounding areas. Flexibility across locations is a plus, but not required.
