For Teachers

Picture day made simple for you and your students

We know picture day can feel like one more thing on your already full plate. That's why we've designed our process to be as quick and easy as possible—for you and your students. Here's what to expect.

What to Expect on Picture Day

Quick Turnaround

Each student takes about 30-45 seconds. We take a few shots, capture a genuine expression, and they're done. Your class will be in and out quickly.

No Paperwork for You

No order forms to distribute or collect. No money to handle. No photo packets to pass out later. Parents do everything online.

We Handle the Kids

We're experienced with all ages and know how to get genuine smiles. You don't need to coach them—just send them our way.

Scheduled by Class

Your office will give you a time slot. Bring your class at that time, and we'll move through the line efficiently.

Your Role on Picture Day

Before Picture Day

  • Remind students about picture day (the office usually sends a notice)
  • Let the office know if any students need accommodations
  • That's it—no forms to hand out or money to collect!

On Picture Day

  • Bring your class to the photo area at your scheduled time
  • Help students line up (we'll take them one at a time)
  • Quick hair/clothing check if you have time (we'll do one too)
  • Wait with your class or step away—your choice
  • Head back to class when everyone's done

After Picture Day

  • Nothing! Parents receive gallery links directly by email
  • Photos ship to homes—no packets to distribute
  • If asked, direct parents to check their email or contact us

Tips for a Smooth Picture Day

Timing Is Everything

If possible, avoid scheduling right before lunch (hungry kids) or right after recess (sweaty, messy hair). Mid-morning often works best.

Prep Your Nervous Students

Some kids get anxious about photos. A quick "the photographer is really nice and it only takes a few seconds" can help ease worries.

Let Us Know About Accommodations

If a student needs extra time, a quieter environment, or has sensory sensitivities, let the office know so we can prepare.

Don't Stress About Perfect

Messy hair? Stained shirt? It happens. We capture personality, not perfection. The photos parents treasure most show their real kid.

Your Photo Too!

We photograph faculty and staff too—usually during non-instructional time like planning periods or before/after school. Your office will coordinate timing.

These headshots can be used for:

  • School website and directory
  • ID badges
  • Yearbook staff pages
  • Your own professional use

Same clean, modern style as the student photos—and included at no cost to you or your school.

Common Questions

What if a student refuses to be photographed?

We never force it. We might try a few gentle approaches, but if a student really doesn't want their photo taken, we respect that. We can always try again on retake day.

What about students with special needs?

We have extensive experience with therapeutic schools and special education programs. We're patient, flexible, and happy to adapt our approach. Just let us know what helps.

What if my class is running late?

Things happen! Let us know if you can, and we'll adjust. We build buffer time into the schedule for exactly this reason.

Can I stay with a nervous student?

Absolutely. If having you nearby helps a student feel comfortable, we welcome that. Whatever helps us get a great photo.

What if a parent complains about the photos?

Direct them to us! Parents can contact us directly with any concerns. That's not something you need to handle.

"Picture day has never been easier. The photographer was incredibly patient with our students, and the photos turned out beautifully."
